Storage instructions depend on which medication and device you have. Always follow the storage instructions that come with your medication.
Zepbound: Single-dose Pen and Single-dose Vial
Do not freeze Zepbound. Do not use Zepbound if frozen.
Protect Zepbound from heat and light.
Store Zepbound in the original carton to protect from light.
Store Zepbound single-dose pen and single-dose vial in a refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F).
If needed, each single-dose pen or single-dose vial can be stored unrefrigerated at temperatures not to exceed 30°C (86°F) for up to a total of 21 days.
Discard single-dose pen and single-dose vial after a total of 21 days at room temperature.
Zepbound: Multi-dose Vial or Single-Patient-Use KwikPen
Do not freeze Zepbound. Do not use Zepbound if frozen.
Protect Zepbound from heat and light.
Store Zepbound in the original carton to protect from light.
Unopened vial or single-patient-use KwikPen:
Store unopened multi-dose vial or single-patient-use KwikPen in the refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F). The unopened multi-dose vial or single-patient-use KwikPen can be used until the expiration date on the label if kept in the refrigerator.
If stored at room temperature [up to 30°C (86°F)], throw away unopened multi-dose vial or single-patient-use KwikPen after 30 days.
After vial or single-patient-use KwikPen has been opened:
Store opened (in-use) multi-dose vial or single-patient-use KwikPen in the original carton in the refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F) or at room temperature [up to 30°C (86°F)].
Throw away opened multi-dose vial or single-patient-use KwikPen after a total of 30 days at room temperature, 30 days after first use, or after taking 4 weekly doses, even if there is medicine left in it.
Wegovy: single-dose pen or single-dose syringe
Do not store Wegovy in the freezer or directly adjacent to the refrigerator cooling element. Do not freeze Wegovy and do not use if it has been frozen.
Store the Wegovy prefilled single-dose pen or single-dose syringe in the refrigerator from 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F).
If needed, prior to the pen or syringe cap removal, the pen or syringe can be kept from 8°C to 30°C (46°F to 86°F) up to 28 days.
Protect Wegovy injection from light. Wegovy injection must be kept in the original carton until time of administration.
Discard the Wegovy pen or syringe after use.
Wegovy: Single-Patient-Use Pen (WEGOVY® FlexTouch® ) Storage
Do not store Wegovy in the freezer or directly adjacent to the refrigerator cooling element. Do not freeze Wegovy and do not use if it has been frozen.
Prior to first use, store Wegovy FlexTouch® single-patient-use pen in a refrigerator between 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F).
After first use, Wegovy FlexTouch® single-patient-use pen can be stored for 56 days between 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F) or in a refrigerator 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F).
Wegovy FlexTouch® single-patient-use pen should be protected from excessive heat and light. Keep the pen cap on when not in use.
Always remove and safely discard the needle after each injection.
Store the Wegovy FlexTouch® single-patient-use pen without an injection needle attached.
Always use a new needle for each injection.
Wegovy: tablets
Store at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F); excursions permitted to 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F).
Store and dispense Wegovy tablets in the original bottle.
Store Wegovy tablet in the original bottle until use to protect tablets from moisture.
Store Wegovy tablets in a dry place away from moisture.
