How do refill check-ins work for my weight loss treatment?

As part of your ongoing weight loss treatment, you’ll need to complete regular refill check-ins.

Your refill check-in is a short set of questions about how treatment is going. It gives you a chance to share any updates since your last prescription, including your current weight, side effects, missed doses, medication changes, or changes in your medical history.

It’s important to answer as accurately as possible so the clinician has the information they need to help make the right treatment decision for you.

With GLP-1 treatment, people typically start on a lower dose and may increase their dose until they reach an appropriate dose for their needs. Your refill check-in helps the clinician review how you’re doing and decide whether your dose should stay the same or be adjusted.

To avoid gaps in treatment, it’s best to complete your refill check-in when it’s due.

How the refill process works

  1. Complete your refill check-in when it’s due.

  2. The clinician will review the information you provided.

    • If the clinician has any further questions, they will reach out to you for more information.

  3. If appropriate, the clinician will write your next prescription.

  4. Once approved, your prescription will be sent to your pharmacy.

NOTE: If your medication changes, your pharmacy options may also change. If this happens, you will be contacted to arrange a new pharmacy.
