What cholesterol medication does GenMeds offer?

GenMeds offers cholesterol-lowering medications called PCSK9 inhibitors, including Lerochol and Repatha.

The clinician will review your health history, cholesterol information, and treatment goals to determine whether cholesterol treatment is appropriate.

Lerochol

Lerochol contains lerodalcibep-liga as its active ingredient. It is a PCSK9 inhibitor used alongside diet and exercise to help reduce LDL-C in adults with hypercholesterolemia.

Lerochol is administered as a single monthly 1.2 mL subcutaneous self-injection.

Repatha

Repatha contains evolocumab as its active ingredient. It is a PCSK9 inhibitor used alongside diet and exercise to help reduce LDL-C in adults with hypercholesterolemia.

Repatha is also approved to reduce the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events, including cardiovascular death, myocardial infarction, stroke, unstable angina requiring hospitalization, or coronary revascularization, in adults at increased risk for these events.

The standard dose of Repatha administered every two weeks.
