If it’s time for your refill
When you complete your refill check-in, you’ll have the opportunity to request a different medication.
The clinician will review your refill check-in, including how treatment has been going, any side effects, your cholesterol information, and your treatment goals.
The clinician will then decide whether switching medication is appropriate at that time.
If you want to switch before your refill is due
If you want to change medication before your next refill, you can reach out to the clinician who prescribed your medication.
To do this:
Go to your GenMeds chat
Reply to the most recent message from the clinician who prescribed your medication
Explain why you would like to switch medication
Include any side effects or other issues you are having with treatment
The clinician will review your message and decide the best next step.
